Melbourn Rural District : ウィキペディア英語版 | Melbourn Rural District
Melbourn was a rural district in Cambridgeshire, England, from 1894 to 1934. It was formed in 1894 under the Local Government Act 1894, from that part of the Royston rural sanitary district which was in Cambridgeshire (the rest being part of Hertfordshire and in the Ashwell Rural District). The three parishes historically in Essex (Heydon, Great Chishill and Little Chishill) were part of Melbourn RD. In 1934 under a County Review Order, it was abolished, and its area merged with other districts to form the South Cambridgeshire Rural District.
